About Danielle

Danielle Dancy is a native of Steubenville, Ohio, raised in Manassas, Va., but has spent most of her life in the triangle area of North Carolina. She is a proud three-time alumnus of the illustrious North Carolina Central University; holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, and two Master’s Degrees in Criminal Justice and Public Administration. She is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Walking in My Destiny, Inc.

Danielle has spent her career working in Juvenile Justice and Behavioral Health Services; and has recently added Real Estate Agent to her list of accomplishments and skill sets.

However, Danielle believes her most important job in the world is being the mother of two boys. Like many people who are fired up about social justice issues, she has big dreams of “saving the world.” In gaining wisdom through life experiences, she realizes that saving the world starts with you.

​

Her personal commitment to “walk in her destiny” begins with simply loving herself well, and in return allowing her boys to witness an authentic human experience. Danielle believes that all people can be successful if given the appropriate tools to do so.

The mission of Walking in My Destiny is accomplished in meeting individuals and groups where they are at and helping them access the tools toward success. In her words, “When the odds are stacked against you, watch God work for you. Growth mindset over fixed mindset will take you places that you haven’t dreamed about!”
